Scholarships or financial guarantees from employers or government

Find out what you need to know if you're paying your fees with a scholarship or financial guarantee from your employer or government, whether you're studying at AUT as a domestic or an international student.

AUT scholarships

If you're receiving a scholarship that is administered through AUT, we're automatically crediting the payment to your account from the second week of each semester.

External scholarships, employers, governments or other third parties

If your tuition fees are sponsored by an external scholarship, a trust fund, employer or other third party, or education benefits from the US Department of Veterans Affairs you need to send them your fees invoice so they can arrange payment for your fees.

What to provide if your sponsor wants a tax invoice

If your fees are being paid by an external scholarships, sponsor or employer, and they require a tax invoice, you must complete the form below and provide a purchase order number.

You will need the following information from them:

  • Company legal name
  • Company address
  • Company contact person (full name, title, email, phone number)
  • Purchase order number or financial guarantee letter
  • Amount to be invoiced

Fill in this form if your sponsor or employer wants a tax invoice

What to expect if they can't provide this information

If your sponsor is unable to provide the information for the tax invoice, your fees invoice will be addressed to you (the student), and you need to liaise with your sponsor or employer to ensure that your fees are paid by the due date.

Financial guarantees

If you're sponsored by foreign governments or organisations, you need to provide AUT with a copy of the financial guarantee prior to the start of the programme.

You should make sure that the financial guarantee covers your full period of study.
