When do I need to pay my fees?

Your payment due date is printed on your fees invoice. You need to pay your fees in full by this date. You can find your invoice in the AUT correspondence section of My AUT.

Can I pay in instalments?

You can make payments over time, but your fees must be paid in full by the due date on your invoice. AUT doesn't offer payment plans or formal instalment arrangements.

What happens if I don't pay in time?

If your fees aren't paid on time, you could lose access to classes, learning systems and other university services. You may also be unable to receive your results, transcript or qualification until all outstanding fees are paid.

What payment methods are accepted?

You can pay your fees online by bank transfer, credit card, debit card or Convera telegraphic transfer. Eligible students can also pay through a student loan, scholarship or financial guarantee.

What should I do if I am waiting for my student loan or scholarship to be processed?

You're responsible for making sure your fees are paid on time, even if your loan or scholarship is still being processed. If you're concerned about meeting the payment deadline, contact the AUT Student Hub for support.

Who can I talk to if my fees haven’t been paid yet?

If your fees haven't been paid or you'd like to discuss your options, contact the AUT Student Hub as soon as possible for advice and support.

What happens if I withdraw from a course – am I eligible for a refund?

You may be eligible for a refund if you withdraw from a course or programme. Refund eligibility depends on when you withdraw and AUT's refund rules.

Can I pay my fees with Fees Free?

No. If you're eligible for Fees Free, you may be able to claim eligible fees back after completing your final year of study. You'll still need to pay your fees by the due date.
