Build your degree
Use our degree builder to better understand what your studies at AUT could look like. Choose from different options and see how you can tailor your studies to your interests.
The Psychology major is bigger than the other majors in the Bachelor of Arts and makes up half of your degree (180 points). To complete your degree in three years full-time, you could combine this major with one minor or with elective courses worth 60 points (usually four courses).
Try another major in the Bachelor of Arts
The chart above is for guidance only. It’s designed to give you an idea of how you can complement your degree with other subjects you’re interested in. It doesn't enrol you in any courses. You may not necessarily study your chosen subjects in the order outlined above. You will see the courses you study each semester after you’ve accepted your offer of place to study at AUT, and start enrolling in courses and classes.
If you want to combine a Psychology major with two minors, another major, or with a minor and elective courses, your studies will take you a little longer and you'll need to complete a total of 420 points.
Subjects and courses offered each year may vary, and it’s a good idea to talk to your faculty about your chosen study path.
