Declining your Offer of Place

Sometimes plans change, and that’s okay. If the programme isn't the right fit right now, you can decline your offer in My AUT.

How to decline your Offer of Place

  • Log into My AUT
  • Your applications are shown on the homepage
  • If you don’t see them, go to the My Account tab and select My Applications
  • Find the programme you’ve been offered and select Review Offer
  • Select Decline Offer and confirm your choice

Once you’ve declined your offer, no further action is needed from you for that programme.

Changing to a different offer

Changed your mind after accepting an Offer of Place? That happens. Choosing what and where to study is a big decision, and it’s okay to adjust your plans.

If you’ve accepted an offer but now want to take up a different one, you’ll need to withdraw from your current offer before accepting the new one.

How to change to a different offer

  • Log into My AUT
  • Go to the My Account tab and select My Applications
  • Find the application you’ve already accepted and select Withdraw
  • Find the application you now want to accept and select Review Offer
  • Select Accept Offer

Once you’ve accepted the new offer, your My AUT homepage will update to reflect your choice.
