The Postgraduate Diploma in Criminology and Criminal Justice furthers your understanding of criminology and criminal justice to enable you to apply valid research principles to the complex social issues related to crime and its control.
You’ll critically examine the criminal justice system, including the police and use of prisons; explore the myths surrounding crime and identify what approaches work. The programme also has a strong focus on children’s rights in the courtroom and youth crime in the community. The specialised knowledge of these areas will make your CV stand out within the criminal justice sector. The programme also serves as a stepping stone into the Master of Criminology and Criminal Justice.

- Bachelor of Arts (Criminology and Criminal Justice) or an equivalent qualification

- IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; or equivalent
You can study the Postgraduate Diploma in Criminology and Criminal Justice on a full-time or part-time basis. Most courses are offered as block courses held at AUT on weekends.
