Minimum entry requirements

Completed one of the following:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology, including ENGE601, or equivalent OR
  • A professional qualification or relevant professional experience approved by the dean (or representative) to be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree

  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; or equivalent

This postgraduate certificate consists of specialist engineering topics designed to enable students to move from undergraduate to postgraduate level.

If you're an international student hoping to study in New Zealand once the borders reopen, you can start you studies by completing the postgraduate certificate online. Later on, you may be able to cross-credit your courses to the Master of Engineering and come to New Zealand to finish your studies.

You must take 30 points in one subject area and no more than 30 points from the specialist readings courses ENGE809 - ENGE811.
