Accessing and syncing your student email

Learn how to access your AUT student email and sync it to your mobile device.

How to access your student email

  • Go to Student Mail and log in using your AUT student email address and network password*; or
  • Select AUT Email from the Microsoft App Launcher (or waffle) on My AUT

*Your AUT student email address is your networklogin@autuni.ac.nz (eg: xyz0009@autuni.ac.nz) and your password is just your network login password.

Syncing your student email to your mobile device

You can sync your student email to your Apple or Android devices.

The recommended and most reliable method to syncing your AUT email on your apple device is using the Outlook Mobile App.

  1. Download the Outlook App from the App Store
  2. Open the app and tap ‘Add Account’
  3. Type in your AUT email address (example: networklogin@autuni.ac.nz) and tap ‘Add Account’
  4. Login using your AUT network login and password

Alternative method:

  1. Open settings on your Apple device, tap 'Apps' then find and tap ‘Mail’
  2. Tap ‘Mail Accounts’ then ‘Add Account’
  3. Type in your AUT email address (example: networklogin@autuni.ac.nz) and tap ‘Next’ from the top right
  4. Tap ‘Microsoft Exchange’
  5. Tap ‘Next’. On the pop-up prompt tap ‘Sign In’
  6. Tap ‘Continue’ then login using your AUT network login and password

The recommended and most reliable method to syncing your AUT email on your Android device is using the Outlook Mobile App.

  1. Download the Outlook App from the Play Store
  2. Open the app and tap ‘Add Account’ (you may need to tap ‘Skip’ first if other accounts are found)
  3. Type in your AUT email address (example: networklogin@autuni.ac.nz) and tap ‘Continue’
  4. Login using your AUT network login and password
