What’s included and what to bring:

What not to bring

• Fridge
• Heater
• Rice cooker
• Electric iron
• Electric blanket
• Extra furniture
• Fireworks
• Candles and incense
• Anything offensive or risky
• Pets
• Any portable appliances that have not been PAT tested

Items considered dangerous are not permitted in AUT student accommodation. Electrical items must be portable appliance tested (PAT) before they can be used.

On-site kitchen and linen packs (King Single) are available to be purchased from the Unilodge website

International arrivals

If, due to your international flights, your arrival at MDSA is likely to be outside of reception open hours (9am-6pm Monday to Friday, 9am-1pm Saturday), we suggest you consider staying at an airport hotel and then arriving at MDSA when reception is open. This way we can properly greet you and help you get settled in.

House rules and resident handbook

These provide important information about our accommodation facilities and your new home. They can be found on this web page, and we encourage you to take the time to read these prior to your arrival.

These modules are designed to support your transition to accommodation community life. You will receive an email from Canvas (your home for course materials as a student at AUT) with access to these modules.

• Our address: Te Āhuru Mayoral Drive Student Accommodation (UniLodge) AUT City Campus, 121 Mayoral Drive, Auckland
• Parking: Parking is limited as we’re in a densely populated area. There may be some on-street parking on Wakefield Street and St Paul Street, and there are two Wilson carparks in the same block
• On arrival: When you arrive please report to reception.  The Unilodge team will take a picture of you for our records, double check your information and issue you your room access. We will then take you for a tour of our common spaces, residential care offices and show you to your room
• Wifi: To connect to wifi at AUT accommodation, AUT students will use their AUT network login. You would have received these details in an email from our Orientation team, but if you are unsure, contact the Student Hub on 0800 288 864 or +64 9 921 9779 (international calling rates apply) or studenthub@aut.ac.nz. For non-AUT students, UniLodge will provide you with a network login when you arrive.

We encourage all students new to Student Accommodation be protected against:

• Measles, mumps and rubella
• Meningococcal A, C, W, Y
• Meningococcal B

If you haven't already been vaccinated or are unsure, talk to your GP or , once you arrive on campus, as an AUT student you can book an appointment with the nurse at the AUT Student Medical Centre by calling 09 921 9992.

AUT Student Medical Centre (AUT students only)

The AUT Student Medical Centre is a general practice clinic available to AUT students, and offers a range of medical services with registered professionals. Enrolling with the practice is easy.
