The AUT community gardens were founded in 2019 as part of the Lifestyle Nutrition course in the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation. Students completing the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation in Exercise Science and Nutrition were given the opportunity to immerse themselves in a collaborative, sustainable environment and grow their own food as part of the course.
