Postgraduate Certificate in Business

Develop advanced level business skills in as little as one semester with the Postgraduate Certificate in Business. If you want to build upon your undergraduate degree in a business subject area, this programme could be for you. You will gain advanced business subject knowledge and research skills that will enhance your career prospects.

This qualification is designed for students who want to gain a postgraduate qualification in stages. Pathways are available to the Postgraduate Diploma in Business or Master of Business.

Minimum entry requirements

Completed one of the following or equivalent:

  • Bachelor of Business OR
  • Graduate Diploma in Business OR
  • Relevant professional qualification approved by the Dean (or representative) to be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree

Admission to the Postgraduate Certificate in Business is subject to approval by the Dean (or representative).

International student entry requirements

English language requirements

  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with a minimum score of 6.0 in each band

English language requirements

To graduate with a Postgraduate Certificate in Business you must successfully complete 60 points from the Master of Business papers, subject to satisfying prerequisite requirements.

Foci in the Postgraduate Certificate in Business are available for students who complete at least 45 points in one of the following specialist business disciplines: accounting, business information systems, economics, finance, international business, management, marketing, or sport leadership and management.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Business doesn’t include a research project, but can serve as a pathway into the Master of Business research degree.
