Neurodivergent students and specific learning disabilities
We support neurodivergent students with a range of visible and invisible differences, and specific learning disabilities. These include:
- Neurodivergence (ADD, ADHD, ASD, etc)
- Dyslexia
- Dyspraxia
- Dysgraphia
- Dyscalculia
'Specific learning disabilities' is a broad term to describe conditions which affect the way the brain processes information needed for reading, writing, or maths – whether long-term or due to illness, a medical condition or injury.
Accessing support
If you've been diagnosed with a specific learning disability, it's important for us to see the report to give you the best support.
Check how to verify your disability.
If you don't have a medical diagnosis but something is making study harder than it should be, book an appointment with a student advisor. We can arrange a learning assessment through AUT that helps identify your strengths and where you might need support. From there, we'll create a plan with you that helps you succeed in your studies and reach your full potential.
