What you need to do for this part of the award
To improve your employability skills, you should attend AUT workshops and events as part of your AUT Edge Award.
Attend 5 mandatory workshops
- Attend a CV workshop and create a CV
- Attend an elevator pitch (personal statement) workshop and learn how to describe yourself in a single paragraph
- Attend a LinkedIn workshop to learn how to create a profile suitable for a graduate entering the job market and how to use it effectively
- Attend a follow-up LinkedIn workshop to learn how to effectively make connections and widen your networks
- Attend an interview workshop and record a practice interview
These workshops are run regularly by the Employability and Careers team.

You choose, based on your interests, 6 other employability workshops or presentations from around AUT.
Options include:
- Career fairs
- Alumni presentations
