Accepted your offer to study at AUT in New Zealand on the Study Abroad or Student Exchange programme? AUT is about to be your ‘home away from home’ for a semester of your degree, so now it’s time to book your student accommodation for your time at AUT.

Stay on campus while you’re at AUT as a visiting student

AUT has on-campus accommodation options to make your life nice and easy for the semester you’re studying with us in Auckland, New Zealand.

When to apply for your accommodation

To make sure we have a room available in the Te Āhuru Mayoral Drive Student Accommodation as part of our guaranteed accommodation*, please submit your application by the deadlines below. We’ve given them a heads-up to expect your application!

Applications submitted after the dates below will not be guaranteed a room at Mayoral Drive, and students may need to apply to our North Campus accommodation, Akoranga Student Village.

Semester 1 (February to June)

Apply by 5 December of the previous year.

Semester 2 (July to November)

Apply by 31 May.

^{*If you choose not to stay in the guaranteed on-campus accommodation, AUT has useful information on finding private accommodation. Because our campus is in the middle of the Auckland CBD, finding private rental accommodation for a short period can be very difficult. We encourage you to use the student accommodation if possible.}
