AUT Investment Club in partnership with Sharesies are proud to present our end of semester event: From NZ to the world, with guests Nick Mowbray and Jaimee Lupton.

About this event

The story of Zuru is one of true entrepreneurial success. Nick started Zuru with his siblings while still a teenager in NZ, from humble beginnings selling homemade hot air balloons. The business grew rapidly to toys that soon became household names such as “bunch-o-balloons” and “Mini Brands”. With a billion dollars in revenue last year, Nick has turned his attention to the FMCG sector, targeting categories and products that have become complacent out of touch with their consumers. This is seen in the hyper domination of MONDAY Haircare, which Nick Co-Founded with Jaimee. MONDAY Haircare proudly ‘whispered while everyone else shouted’,and provided accessible luxury to a tired market. It only took MONDAY a week to take 26% market share from market leader Pantene. No small feat.

More recently, Zuru Edge launched Dose & Co, a collagen product in partnership with Khloe Kardashian and Me Collective Period Care - the team at Zuru Edge show no signs of slowing down.
