Call for Submissions - 7 Experiences Summit 2023

The Experience Research Society is excited to welcome extended abstracts, full papers and workshop proposals to the 7 Experiences Summit 2023, taking place in Auckland, New Zealand.

More than 700 participants around the globe have registered for the 7 Experiences Summits since its inaugural session during the lockdown period in 2020. The summit is a flagship event of Experience Research Society, which aims to establish a more solid multidisciplinary foundation for experience research, and a more coherent experience research field.

The summit attracts people from different disciplines who want to listen to experience experts from other disciplines and participate workshops to discuss cross-disciplinary topics around human experiences with a global audience.

Submit your abstract, paper or workshop proposal now

We invite academics from any discipline to submit their experience research, and professionals to provide best practices and case studies around human experiences.

We encourage but not demand that authors address the theme of the 7 Experiences Summit 2023, ‘Transformational Experiences Beyond Borders: Partnership development for sustainable futures’ in their submissions.

The research papers or workshop proposals may choose to address the following experience tracks:

  • Experience 1: Accessible Experiences
  • Experience 2: Hospitality, Tourism, Events & Culinary Experience
  • Experience 3: Experiential learning & Education
  • Experience 4: Design Thinking, virtual methods & Experience Design
  • Experience 5: Experience & Technologies
  • Experience 6: The future of the Experience Economy
  • Experience 7: Any other Experience Research or Design Topics

Previous workshops have included demonstration of experience research tools, experiential teaching and learning tools, business brand experience, and other surprises focusing on human experiences.

Where your submission could be published

All submissions are peer reviewed and the accepted revised extended abstracts and full papers will be published in the 7 Experiences Summit e-proceedings with ISBN.

Selected extended abstracts and research papers will be invited to publish with our partnering journal after the summit::
