Interested in a career as a personal trainer or fitness instructor? Fitness Foundations will teach you how to give an effective client pre-screening, fitness assessment and exercise prescription. This course is taught part-time over four weeks at our North Campus, with in-person classes taught on the weekend.
Looking to gain employment in the healthcare industry? This self-directed, 7-month online course covers medical terms and definitions related to anatomy, physiology, disease, investigations, procedures and pharmacology, so you can hit the ground running in your future career.
Learn the latest massage techniques and soft tissue therapy for the treatment of the whole body with our Sports Massage course. Over seven 2½-hour classes held at our North Campus, you’ll learn techniques to treat athletes in clinical settings, as well as practical adaptations for use in gyms, sports fields and more.
To do this course you must have taken Fitness Foundations.
Primarily for Pacific workers, this course will teach you about the relationship between the types of food we eat and the effect they can have on our health. You’ll learn how to make everyday traditional foods healthier and how to share the information you have learnt with your families, communities and workplaces.
This course is run in partnership with the Heart Foundation.
