Study art and design

As an AUT art and design student, you join a diverse creative community in an environment where new ideas emerge on a daily basis. AUT is well known for its art and design programmes, making it the best place to develop the skills and mindset to sharpen your creative voice.

You work in shared studio spaces, surrounded by innovation and technology to fuel your creativity. This creative environment makes it easy to form close bonds with your classmates, and you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your work to industry and the media at our on-campus galleries or the AUT Art & Design Festival.

Undergraduate study in art and design will give you a solid grounding in your chosen area.

Bachelor's degree

Postgraduate study in art and design will build on your knowledge and expertise in your area of interest.

A diploma will give you an introduction to your chosen subject and can prepare you for further study.
