Semester 2, 2026 scholarship opportunities
AUT Global is pleased to be able to offer scholarships to support students to undertake an international exchange experience at an AUT Global partner university. The aim of the AUT Global Exchange Scholarship is to increase the ability of AUT students to participate in outbound exchange opportunities.
The amount of the AUT Global Exchange Scholarship award is determined by the geographical location of the AUT Global partner university the student is attending. These amounts are detailed below:
- Asia - $1,500
- USA/Canada - $2,500
- UK and Europe - $3,000
The number of awards available is limited by a capped budget, so applications are required.

Funded by the AUT Business School and a generous donation from the NEXT Foundation, the scholarships support Bachelor of Business students to undertake an international exchange at a partner university’s business school. The purpose of the Business International Exchange Scholarships is to assist students for whom financial circumstances may otherwise make an overseas exchange difficult to pursue.
Value of scholarship
- The Business School scholarship is up to $5,000 per recipient
- The NEXT Foundation scholarship is $5,000 per recipient

The Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies (DCT), in collaboration with AUT Global, are pleased to be able to offer this Scholarship to support students from DCT to undertake an international exchange experience at an AUT Global partner university.
The aim of the DCT x AUT Global Exchange Scholarship is to increase the ability of DCT students to participate in outbound exchange opportunities.
Eligible degree programmes include:
- Bachelor of Design Te Tohu Paetahi mō te Hoahoa
- Bachelor of Visual Arts Te Tohu Paetahi mō Toi Ataata
- Bachelor of Construction
- Bachelor of Architecture and Future Environments
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Engineering Technology
- Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences
- Bachelor of Communication Studies
Scholarships are available for between $3,000-$5,000.

Other scholarship opportunities
This scholarship if available for universities in the South-West region of Germany, but funding differs yearly. For students interested in attending the University of Mannheim Business School on exchange, this is often a scholarship available to apply to. AUT students choosing Mannheim for exchange will be provided with instructions on how to apply from the AUT Global team.
Universities New Zealand - Te Pōkai Tara - lists scholarships, many of which fund postgraduate study overseas. These scholarships are funded from contributions from charitable trusts, individuals, governments and industry.
