Are dependants covered?
Some Manaaki scholars at AUT bring their families to Aotearoa New Zealand. Many arrive first on their own to find housing, and understand school and work options before their family joins them. Dependants of Manaaki scholars can access healthcare in New Zealand as if they were citizens, but there’s no additional financial support for dependants.
What levels of study are supported (undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD)?
Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships support a range of tertiary study levels, including undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes. The specific levels available depend on your home country’s priorities. If you apply for a programme at AUT and don’t meet the entry requirements, we can often help you with a pathway option that is included in your scholarship so you can progress towards your chosen degree.
