Employability & Career Services: what's available
Want some help with considering your career options and developing the skills to become highly employable? As an AUT student, you can drop in and visit us at any of the campuses or make an appointment through Elab Online to see an employability and career specialist in person or online.
The Employability Lab at the City Campus in WA202 is our dedicated space where we run employer events, workshops, appointments, drop-ins etc. Employability and career specialists are also based within the Student Hubs of the North Campus and South Campus.

Our team is based at the Employability Lab on the City Campus. You're welcome to drop in any time to ask a question, chat, use our resources or attend the employability workshops we run here regularly.
How we can help you
At the Employability Lab you can get help to:
- Improve your CV, job search or interview techniques through workshops and one-on-one appointments
- Increase your networking skills by attending speaker series, career fairs, workshops and presentations
- Make contact with employers looking for students for workplace experience, internships or voluntary work through speaker series, industry panels and employer presentations
- Review your career direction or figure out if you're in the right programme by talking to a career specialist
- Sign up for our employability awards, AUT Edge Award and Beyond AUT Award

Elab Online is where you’ll find heaps of resources to use whenever you need them. You can also browse career-related jobs, internships and graduate programme vacancies. Check in regularly because events, workshops, jobs and resources are updated frequently.

The AUT Employability and Career Services team took top honours in the NZ Association of Graduate Employers (NZAGE) Awards, winning the NZAGE Best Careers Service for 2022.
