Te Āhuru WQ building has received a makeover with new modern facilities and student services all coming together under one roof. It’s now your go‑to place designed to support your physical and mental health, to train play create and connect with other students.

What you can now enjoy in Te Āhuru:

• AUT Gym a refreshed environment and a training experience – and even better, free membership for AUT students in 2026.
• Mōwai, your new Medical Centre and Counselling and Mental Health Services to care for your physical and mental wellbeing.
• Te Poro Aniwaniwa – Rainbow Student Support and Rainbow Room. A bright welcoming space to connect with students and support staff plus our brilliant new walk‑in Rainbow wardrobe.
• Recreation Centre with bookable activity rooms AV systems for events and films a multi‑purpose sport court kitchen facilities and common areas filled with games and space to unwind.
