Which research ethics application do I need to complete?

Some general advice for applicants:

  • The AUT Ethics Committee assesses applications in accordance with AUTEC and National Ethics Advisory Committee (NEAC) Guidelines.
  • The AUT Ethics Committee reserves the right not to consider incomplete or inadequate applications.
  • AUT has committed to uphold the partnership represented by Te Tiriti o Waitangi in our core work, including in our research practice. We have adopted the key three Māori ethical concepts of tika, pono and aroha as our University values. Te Aronui (our AUT Te Tiriti Framework) also includes three Māori principles to guide how we might give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi: whanaungatanga, manaakitanga and kaitiakitanga. AUTEC suggests that all AUT research reflects these intentions.
