How we support postgraduate research at AUT

The Graduate Research School supports postgraduate research by:

  • Delivering researcher development activities to support the needs of postgraduate research students, supervisors and research staff
  • Providing input into AUT’s postgraduate research strategic decisions
  • Advising, managing and approving doctoral and MPhil admission and progression
  • Providing information and administrative services for research students
  • Managing research examinations for all postgraduate programmes
  • Facilitating postgraduate events and activities
  • Providing the secretariat services for the University Postgraduate Research Board

Structure of the Graduate Research School

The Graduate Research School and faculty postgraduate offices work together to support the strategic direction and management of postgraduate research degrees and students at AUT. The Graduate Research School ensures effective coordination and management of systems and procedures, and the provision of a quality researcher development programme.
