Description of research project

The Project Management Research Office (PMRO) invites IT practitioners, software engineers, project managers, leaders, and professionals involved in IT project, programme, portfolio, and project delivery to register their interest in supporting research students within the Master of IT Project Management at the Auckland University of Technology.
We are seeking people who are willing to be invited to consider participating in anonymous online surveys or interviews with master’s students as part of their supervised research projects. You may decline or ignore any invitation at any time.

Why Participate?
The PMRO exists to advance the science and practice of project management through research. Practitioner participation plays a critical role in ensuring that student research addresses real-world challenges and produces insights that are relevant, credible, and impactful for industry. By sharing your perspectives and experiences, you will help shape emerging knowledge in areas such as IT project delivery, agile and hybrid methods, governance, leadership, teamwork, and performance. Your involvement also supports the development of future project management professionals and researchers.

What Participation Involves
If you choose to take part in a study, participation typically involves one of the following:
• Completion of an online survey (approximately 15–20 minutes), or
• Participation in an online interview (typically 45-50 minutes).
All research activities are conducted under academic supervision and follow AUT’s approved ethical protocols. Your responses will be treated confidentially, and findings will be reported in an anonymised form.

Register Your Interest
Registering your interest does not commit you to participate in any study. It simply allows the PMRO to contact you with future invitations.
To register, please provide your name, role, organisation (optional), and contact details using the registration link provided.

Thank you for supporting the future of project management research.
