Chemistry Professor Allan Blackman continues to be one of AUT’s top science communicators. Not only is he a regular guest on Radio New Zealand’s The Panel and Nine to Noon, he also has a YouTube series called Chemistry Matters. The popular videos attract thousands of views, while one – In the Lab: How to Do a Titration Properly – recently clocked over 100,000 views.
Last year, Allan did a fun collaboration with the NZ Warriors to launch the 2025 draw and that video, which featured mascots being blown up, dissolved and crushed, quickly gained well over 100,000 views as well.
