Emeritus Professor Pare Keiha

Emeritus Professor Pare Keiha has just been awarded a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to Māori and education in this year’s King's Birthday Honours.

This follows a Companion of the Queen's Service Order he was also awarded in 2008.

His leadership at AUT spans roles as Pro Vice-Chancellor Māori Advancement, Dean and Tumuaki of Te Ara Poutama, and Dean of the Faculty of Culture and Society, playing a key role in shaping the university’s strategic direction and institutional development.
