Dr Merja Myllylahti from the School of Communication Studies has been appointed as a trustee to the board of the Better Public Media Trust, a non-profit charitable organisation advocating public media and public interest journalism in New Zealand, in recognition of her knowledge and experience in journalism and news.
BPM is also a partner organisation of the Public Media Alliance, giving it a visibility on the international level.
