Dr Ed Maunder, Acting Associate Dean Postgraduate (Research) for HES, has received a 2026 Health Research Council Explorer Grant.
Ed was awarded $150,000 over 24 months to continue studies into obesity and, in particular, adipose tissue (fat) function. He says experiments will be conducted to understand how the release of fat-soluble vitamins and hormones from adipose are impacted by obesity, with the ultimate goal of identifying novel treatments for obesity-related disease.
