Deborah Manning, a senior lecturer in the AUT Law School, has been recognised as one of Australasia’s leading female lawyers.

The award reflects her longstanding commitment to principled practice and the rule of law here and internationally. Deborah has extensive experience practising in refugee and public law including working with UN human rights mechanisms in Geneva, advocating for Gloriavale leavers, and for people facing profound vulnerability and structural injustice.
