Māori language and culture celebrated in the USA
Te Ipukarea – The National Māori Language Institute and Te Whare o Rongomaurikura – The International Centre for Language Revitalisation (the Centre) co-hosted the Māori Language Revitalisation in Aotearoa/New Zealand Symposium as a side event of Washington DC based Smithsonian Institutes One World, Many Voices: Endangered Languages and Cultural Heritage Folklife Festival in early July.

After helping the team with a specific research project as part of his third year placement at AUT’s Sport Performance Research in New Zealand (SPRINZ), Woroniecki is now considered a team member says Emirates Team NZ physical trainer David Slyfield.
New professor brings expertise in futures education to AUT
Futures education expert Jane Gilbert took up her new role as a professor at AUT University’s School of Education this week.
Before joining AUT Professor Gilbert was a chief researcher at the NZ Council for Educational Research. She has also worked as a secondary school teacher and an education lecturer.
AUT LATTE team’s success at HERDSA conference
The Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia conference, held at AUT University last month, awarded a team of AUT students the best poster award.
The competition, run during the HERDSA conference held in the Sir Paul Reeves Building, was for all conference-goers and the posters were used as discussion points.
