With an increase of the New Zealand refugee quota in 2020, the importance of considering holistic approaches and manākitanga in education cannot be overemphasised.
Join us for this one-day symposium which will showcase how professionals working with refugee background learners (RBLs) embrace and include diversity in their everyday practice. The symposium will pay particular heed to the manākitanga of RBLs as they settle and begin their new lives in Aotearoa.

- Marieke Jasperse, PhD candidate, University of Otago
