As part of Islam Awareness Week at AUT (18-22 March), Associate Professor Mehmet Ozalp will lead this lecture where he examines lessons from the ancient story of Jonah and applies them to modern times.
As a scholar, a prominent Islamic thought leader, theologian, author, community leader and Chaplain, Mehmet has been the recipient of several awards and is the author of three books about Islam. Mehmet is the Director for the Centre for Islamic Studies and Civilisation, and Associate Professor of Islamic Studies at Charles Sturt University, Australia.
