New Zealanders are loved on the world stage for their unique sense of innovation, work ethic, and reputation for excellence. Yet, some say we hesitate to take big leaps of faith and move out of our comfort zone
Will Farrell-Green challenges that thinking. His story is not unique or by chance; he took a risk, set himself life goals, worked hard, and made them into a reality. In Will’s talk he asks the younger generation to widen their horizons, study overseas markets, think bigger, and use the same ingenuity they demonstrate in the workplace and apply it to their careers.
This event is part of AUT's Faculty of Business, Economics and Law's annual Great Graduate Speaker Series, which is designed to highlight AUT alumni's inspirational achievements and unique career journeys. The series offers a platform for industry professionals, AUT alumni, staff, and students to foster mutual connections, hear and discuss current industry trends, and reflect on career journeys.
About our alumni speaker, Will Farrell-Green
Will Farrell-Green is a senior executive at Amazon where he leads creator products for the audio business. This includes responsibility for Amazon’s new Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX), a marketplace for audiobooks and podcasts, which are published across Amazon surfaces including Audible, Alexa and Kindle Digital Publishing (KDP).
A very proud Kiwi, born and bred in Auckland, New Zealand, Will has a background in strategy and business operations having worked as a management consultant at both PwC and KPMG. Will also founded and launched Australasia's first smart home start-up, Morepork, at the beginning of 2015.
