This year, the Pou Māori Matariki commissioned artist is Te Awanui-a-Rangi Clark. As a second-year Bachelor of Design student, Te Awanui-a-Rangi is specialising in Animation, Visual Effects and Game Design with minors in Māori Media & Animated Drawing. Her characterisations of the whetū are influenced by the Art Nouveau style.
