Make a positive impact on the health of individuals, whānau and communities through nutrition and physical activity. You’ll become familiar with how nutrition and physical activity influence health and wellbeing, and discover how they can prevent disease and optimise people’s health and wellbeing.
You’ll understand how environmental and policy factors influence people’s behaviours, and learn to help people make positive lifestyle changes. Potential career pathways this minor could prepare you for include healthy lifestyles advisor, health promoter, or a career in community health development.
