Your AUT degree, new backdrop. Spend Semester 2 in Wellington or Dunedin, and add a fresh perspective to your AUT journey.
If you’re a second-year undergrad, studying an eligible subject, you could spend Semester 2, 2026 at the University of Otago or Victoria University of Wellington. Successful applicants will get a $1,200 grant for use for travel or course costs, and a scholarship for self-catered accommodation is available for selected students.
There are just 5 places for AUT students at each university – so apply now.
Complete the application form by 8 April 2026. We’ll let you know if you’re successful by the end of April.

Who can apply?
You can apply for Uni Exchange Aotearoa if you:
- Are enrolled as a full-time student in a relevant bachelor’s degree
- Have completed at least 120 points or one year of full-time study before the start of the exchange
- Have a B average grade/5.0 GPA in your tertiary studies and can maintain this up until the exchange begins
