Applications for Uni Exchange Aotearoa 2027 are now open

If you’re a second-year undergrad, studying an eligible subject, you could spend Semester 2, 2027 at the University of Otago or Victoria University of Wellington. Successful applicants will get a $1,200 grant for use for travel or course costs, and a scholarship for self-catered accommodation is available for selected students.

Applications are open for expressions of interest. We have just 6 places for AUT students at each partner university, and applicants must meet all eligibility criteria to be considered. If this opportunity sounds right for you, apply before 30 September 2026.

Who can apply?

You can apply for Uni Exchange Aotearoa if you:

  • Are enrolled as a full-time student in a relevant bachelor’s degree
  • Are a domestic student at AUT
  • Have completed at least 120 points or one year of full-time study before the start of the exchange
  • Have a B average grade/5.0 GPA in your tertiary studies and can maintain this up until the exchange begins

Take a look at the semester two 2027 courses available within each eligible subject area. You can choose courses beyond those listed below; however, these options are the most likely to cross-credit towards your AUT degree and support your academic progress.
