Scholarships kick-start careers on a global stage

Thanks to generous benefactors, AUT students can apply for once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to put their skills to work in an international market straight after they graduate – with required flights, visas and health and travel insurance costs covered by AUT talenthub scholarships.

In 2018, 28 new graduates jetted off to North America to start their career journeys, following 69 alumni who went before them.

These internship opportunities - at outstanding companies like Facebook Creative Shop, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Allbirds, the Smithsonian Institute and Westpac Americas – are accessible to AUT graduates thanks to the generosity of donors.

“LA is going to take a lot of getting used to but it's definitely an exciting adventure! The job at Paramount is a dream. Feels so unreal to be working in an environment where so much amazing music has been/is being made!”

Jess, Paramount, LA

Interns continue to share how valuable this experience is for them; from steep learning curves in the work setting, to opportunities inaccessible in New Zealand, and learnings from life in a different cultural context.

We are delighted to announce that 2019 is going to see two new marketplaces, the UK and Singapore, open up for our interns and we have another 30 opportunities to launch careers in an unforgettable way.
