Our mission to create great graduates takes investment in excellent facilities, research that filters into outstanding classroom learning, and global networking opportunities for our students. Sometimes, enabling our students to fulfil their potential simply takes a small amount of financial support.
Donate to one of our funds and give students access to support when and where they need it most. These funds offer students enriching opportunities, and extend their personal skills and perspectives.
Our students are experiencing financial pressures – especially here in Auckland, where the cost of living is the highest in New Zealand. Our Student Support Fund is a way for our generous community to support our students and make a significant difference to their lives.
Alumni of AUT’s early predecessor, Seddon Memorial Technical College, donate collectively to a scholarship awarded to one current student of AUT each year.
Support the Internz International Scholarship Fund and give final-year students the chance to apply to work internationally – with most costs covered by a scholarship.
The cookbook “Tastes of Home”, has recipes from AUT staff and students' home countries, and all proceeds go to the Tastes of Home Fund to support our students from refugee and migrant backgrounds.
All recipe books are now sold out. However if you want to know more about the fund or how you can contribute, please email us.
Donate to Women on Campus and help fund an annual scholarship to support students who push boundaries and challenge traditional gender stereotypes via academic and community work.
There are lots of ways you can give to AUT. We gratefully accept useful items as well as time, expertise and knowledge from generous individuals, businesses and community organisations.
Support an area you care about or honour someone's memory with an award or scholarship. Starting around $500 for a one-off gift, you can also make it a permanent legacy with a specific purpose.
Make a bequest and you'll be helping to support opportunities for AUT's future students. It costs nothing now, but can give you the satisfaction of knowing your passion for education will live on in the future.
We can arrange for free legal advice from AUT's legal counsel and can provide appropriate wording for your will. We recommend you consult your lawyer or other professionals who have drawn up your will, and discuss your intentions with your family.
A major gift can leave a legacy of educational outcomes for generations. Get in touch so we can work with you to develop a plan for your gift that aligns with your interests.
Mentoring is a valuable and rewarding experience for both you and the person you mentor. The mentoring relationship connects you, as an experienced industry professional, with current students and recent alumni so you can share insights and support the workforce of the future.
Some benefits of mentoring might include:
Contact the Alumni team if you're interested in becoming a mentor.
We're always grateful to receive gifts like learning tools and equipment, technology, cultural items and art. These items are put to great use by our students and the wider community.
Give food or living essentials to the AUT Student Association and they'll be gratefully received by our students via the 'Foodie Godmother', a free, open-door pantry just for AUT students.
AUT encourages contributions within our community through volunteering initiatives. We understand that not every philanthropist - particularly students - can donate money.
AUT has a reputation for producing great graduates with relevant, work-ready skills and we offer several ways to promote your company's internship or work placement to our students and graduates. We can connect you with our top talent while boosting your company's profile on campus.
If you live in the USA and want to make a donation to AUT, you can do it through Friends of AUT Inc.
A USA-based non-profit organisation, it acts as a custodian for donations to AUT in the USA and promotes closer ties with our alumni there.
The AUT Foundation is a charitable entity and we issue tax receipts for each gift.
We recommend you seek tax advice specific to your circumstances whether you are giving to AUT from New Zealand or abroad.
