The Royal Thai Embassy is sponsoring Thai cooking classes at AUT's School of Hospitality and Tourism. Each class is three hours and includes a talk on the history of Thai food followed by a cooking demonstration and a practical class. There is a maximum of 20 people in each practical class.
Classes are taught by Nuttaphong Teeranuntapichit - chef and consultant for the Thai Ministry of Labour, the Thai National Food Institute and several Thai universities - and Dr Niphatchanok Najpinij, lecturer and guest lecturer on Thainess and gastronomy and founder of the Cooking Chronicle Studio and the Bangkok Bold Cooking Studio.
