AUT has set a target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2025 (compared to a 2018 baseline).

In 2025, AUT produced 8,994 tonnes of CO2e (unverified data, currently undergoing independent verification against ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gases – Part 1).

Climate Scenarios Report

AUT worked with the other universities, Te Pūkenga and the Wānanga, to identify potential impacts on the tertiary education sector as a result of climate change. These impacts were described through four climate scenarios. AUT is using these scenarios to identify our climate-related risks and opportunities and better understand the resilience of our business model and strategy.
