The Media Centre is a large collaborative hub, run by students under guidance from staff. Like an industry media centre, students use the facility to collaborate on live briefs, stories and assignments for real products and clients, and design, write, record, edit, research and interview to create high quality, industry-standard media. All communication studies students use the Media Centre as a core part of their studies.
The Media Centre houses two main news studios equipped with professional-grade technology. The studios share a small control room and are used for teaching, industry collaboration and real-world media projects.
The news booth is a small broadcast-style studio equipped with two professional cameras, a green screen and a backdrop of our student newsroom.
