This course is designed to refresh your knowledge and practice in antenatal care in the prehospital setting. It is run by our paramedicine team in conjunction with the industry.
This short course is primarily aimed at the prehospital emergency services: intensive care paramedics, paramedics and EMTs who have completed a BHSc in Paramedicine or those that have an Authority to Practice (ATP) wishing to remain current with their clinical practice.
Dates and classes currently listed are only open to WFA staff – however, we will be opening the course up to others, so check back for more details.
It has been designed with working health professionals in mind. The pre-learning through the AUT online Blackboard platform is designed to be a self-paced programme that you can progress through at your own speed, place and time. There are no onsite based classroom requirements.
The course should take approximately 16 hours of online learning; however, you will have 6 months to complete the online learning. You will need to enrol to gain access to the online learning.

Additional content in the form of articles, reviews, studies and multimedia videos are also provided to enhance your learning and improve your practice.
The online short course culminates in four compulsory formative MCQ assessments, found at the end of each module.
