The CCNA programme has four parts which teach students the skills needed to design, build and maintain small to medium-size networks.
An examination at the end of each part contributes to Cisco certification. This course covers the first two parts of the Cisco CCNA programme. Parts three and four - CCNA 3+4
Part 1 describes computer network concepts from a computer engineering perspective, including the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) network control protocols.
Part 2 continues with computer network concepts in given applications, including forming a small computer network comprising routers, switches and hubs; configuring, operating and backing up network software operation and security.
