Typical tasks
- Plan, prepare and lead wānanga, engagement and negotiation processes
- Apply kaupapa Māori frameworks to data collection and analysis
- Identify data and evidence to measure the impact of research issues
- Maintain knowledge of New Zealand history and current affairs
- Engage with research topic and cultural experts
- Prepare and communicate scientific and technical reports and presentations
- Advise others on kaupapa Māori and other research frameworks, Māori data, and community initiatives
- Manage the protection of knowledge when storing and sharing information
- Review and evaluate research that affects Māori
- Protect and promote kaupapa Māori research
