  • Level 4: first year of undergraduate programmes
  • Level 5: second year of undergraduate programmes
  • Level 6: third/final year of undergraduate programmes

Specific subject requirements/restrictions

All students applying for art, design, or architecture courses will need to provide a portfolio to submit alongside the application to Northumbria. Applications are assessed by subject tutors to check for suitability for that programme.

Art and design subjects have set study plans, so students will be given modules that make up the full semester's worth of credits.

There is a very limited offering of game design modules within the Department of Computer & Information Sciences.

Students will be nominated for a specific programme at Northumbria, so students are not able to mix-and-match modules between different programmes. Any optional modules within the subject area will be listed on each individual programme page in the Modules and Timetabling section of their inbound webpages.
