Perceptions of Success or Misadventure in New Zealand

Category

Health and Environmental Sciences

Description of research project

This study explores how people perceive the successes and misadventures of others, particularly high-profile individuals, and the factors that influence support or criticism. Research has traditionally focused on online negativity and cyberbullying. However, understanding the psychological and social drivers behind public reactions to success and failure is equally important. Once completed, the findings may also be used for academic publications at a later date.
