Becoming global: An occupational perspective on learning to be global citizens
Category
Health and Environmental Sciences
Description of research project
This research explores how New Zealanders in Southeast Asia learn to become global citizens through their everyday activities abroad. Some of the everyday activities we might talk about in this research are things like shopping, taking public transport, and eating out, as well as experiences engaging with people, communities, and places. By joining this study, your perspectives may shape the learning of New Zealanders who will be living, working, and learning abroad within Southeast Asia.
For participants who are in New Zealand, I would like to invite you to participate in an online or in-person interview that will take about an hour. You are welcome to bring 5-10 photos that will be used to bring up your memories during our conversation (but this is optional). For participants in Southeast Asia, I would like to invite you to participate in online interview that will also take an hour, and you can bring photos as well. With your consent, I would also like to do an observation of our everyday living activities in Southeast Asia as well (but this is optional).
