Join AUT Business and Law Alumna Karishma Zafar from Wynn Williams and Laura Hall from Cook Morris Quinn for an engaging and interactive workshop exploring what employers can and can’t do in the workplace.
From restructures to resignations, tricky managers to performance issues, you’ll get a clearer understanding of employment law and how to make sure your workplace plays by the rules.

Speakers

Karishma Zafar
Karishma Zafar is an associate at Wynn Williams in the Dispute Resolution team, specialising in employment law. Before entering the legal profession, Karishma worked in human resources, giving her a practical understanding of workplace challenges faced by employers and employees. Karishma works regularly with organisations across a variety of industries, assisting with a diverse workload encompassing both advisory and litigious matters, including representing employee and employer clients in mediations, disciplinary proceedings, personal grievances, investigations and restructures.

Laura Hall
Laura Hall is a senior solicitor at Cook Morris Quinn specialising in employment law and relationship property. Laura regularly acts for employees and employers on a range of employment law matters, including redundancies, preparing and responding to personal grievances, advising on the Employment Relations Act 2000 and negotiating settlements for employment disputes and disciplinary matters. In her spare time, Laura is an avid reader and writer, and she enjoys networking with high school and university students to discuss their career pathways.
