Six new Kaihoe join AUT's Eke Tangaroa
AUT welcomes six new Kaihoe to Eke Tangaroa, a key initiative supporting Māori and Pacific academics' growth and success within the University.
Dr Amy Henry – Pacific nursing researcher
Dr Amy Henry is a New Zealand born Cook Island Māori of mixed Papa’ā ancestry, and has a background working as a registered nurse and district nurse.
Dr Chris Puliuvea is a Tongan immunologist who joined the department of Biomedicine and Molecular Diagnostics in AUT’s School of Science in September 2023.
Dr Chris Puli’uvea, from the School of Science, has been awarded a prestigious fellowship by the Royal Society Te Apārangi.
Emerging Research Leader in Pacific Health: Dr Radilaite Cammock
Dr Radilaite Cammock’s research focuses on the realities and challenges that Fijians living in Aotearoa face in the health system.
Ant is a marine scientist and a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science, having been appointed through Eke Tangaroa, starting in September 2023.
