This programme will increase your skills and capabilities in emergency management.  Aligned with the provisions of the CDEM Act, 2002, the Postgraduate Certificate in Emergency Management focuses on the behavioural aspects of emergencies.

You’ll cover topics including leading in emergencies, business continuity and crisis management, and building resilient communities. You’ll explore current research as well as international trends in emergency management.

You must have completed one of the following, or equivalent:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Relevant professional qualification or experience approved by the Dean (or representative) to be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree

Other requirements

  • Submit evidence of ability to study at postgraduate level in this field.
  • Provide evidence of current professional practice.
  • May be required to complete relevant prerequisite papers as specified by the Board of Studies.
